I cut all my work and accidentally pressed delete before I could paste into the file I wanted, its gone, its not in my recycle bin, I've tried restoring the file, its says ther is no files to be restored, and I can't install any apps to help because its and work laptop and I am not an administrator. The files are nowhere.

Hi Dale and welcome. When you cut, the contents gets sent to the RAM for later pasting. If you haven't turned off the computer or done any other cutting or copying, open a blank file and try a paste. If that doesn't work, it's gone. Hope you have a backup somewhere.

Do you have the Home or Pro version of Windows 10?
