Should cookies be allowed in browser settings? Having trouble in gmail & getting notices I must allow cookies for gmail to operate correctly.Used to be cookies were bad. Now I guess they are desirable. Is this true?

    Browser cookies are fine.
They actually make your browser react quickly and smoothly.
What you don't want are,, tracking cookies

How do I find and get rid of tracking cookies if I have any? Using Edge, Firefox and Chrome.

I thought I posted a reply. Maybe I neglected to post it. Here it is. I have Firefox 84.0.2(64-bit) and it is set as shown in uploaded file. Is this correct?

This time I see I posted reply.

Change the setting from Only in private Windows to In all Windows. Otherwise you still would not be blocking tracking cookies all the time.
