    Please help.

My computer stopped responding and restarted itself but didn't load my second harddisk.
I switched it off, replugged the cables to the harddisk and turned it on. There was a welcome from my Gigabyte motherboard but then black screen. No Windows logo nor loading circle.

Now the windows won't load and it always shows only black screen the letter Y and a flashing underscore but doesn't do anything or sometimes only black screen and the underscore.

After a few more restarts it is now showing four letters Y distributed on several rows. Under it is on the left side the underscore.

    Hello and welcome Jiri.

There is a problem with your hard drive. Do you have the Windows install disk?

If you can connect this drive to another computer, you can run a disk check.

First - can you connect that drive to another computer as a secondary drive?
If yes, then find the hard drive and right-click on it.
(Note: If you can't find the hard drive, it has failed completely.)
    Choose Properties.
    Click on the Tools tab.
In the Error Checking area, click on Check.

Did exactly what you wrote me. It found the harddrive and worked completely fineand chkdsk found no problems.

Then i connected it back to my normal computer and because my graphic card makes it difficult to do anything I took it off and suddenly it works. So there has to be some conflict between my graphic card and OS...

Graphic card back and computer doesn't work again. This card is quite new so I'll try to contact the dealer an get a replacement.

Thank you very much for your help and time.
