When I try to start up my computer, it starts with the regular Asus logo, then it goes to a blue screen with a ":(",it says "Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart." It says another sentence, talking about collecting information, then something about looking online for "CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED". My computer then tries to automatically repair. It tells me that windows couldn't load correctly, and then tells me about system restore. It gives me either the option to either Restore or Cancel.Either way, I'm not able to get onto my Windows 8 home screen or anything for that matter. I haven't done any more or less than any other regular computer user would do. Any help would be great. Thanks!

Update: It did take a while but I'm able to use my computer. Any tips to make sure this doesnt happen again?

Hi Jdcool1117 and Welcome to CHF

"CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED" BSOD normally tells us that a process that is required for Windows to boot failed on start up.

I would just back-up your data and run the machine normally for a couple of days and see if the Error returns.

    Hi there,
In your case a critical process (for example csrss.exe) has been stopped. Did you install anything which may have caused it to act abnormally?

This thread is from June last year.
I would think they would be sorted by now.
