Every Time i have 1 game (LoL or SMITE) + media player (windows or VLC) + browser (chrome or Firfox) up after about 15 mins --> 1.5 hours my computer locks up only in windows 8 mind you...when it locks up 30% of the time it will reboot 70% of time it will stay frozen with a buzzing sound coming from the motherboard (that also is heard in head phones).....

    And your question is????

Looks like a blown attempted spam to me...

If not I would suspect a thermal issue.

Firstly download and install free "Speccy" and post your temps as close to freezing as possible.
Idle temps are not so important.
Don't make wild stabs in the dark as to what it could be.:)

OK, I went back and sifted through your first post. The line that it only happens with Windows 8 catches my eye...

Are you running a system that came with 7 and trying to upgrade to 8 or did the system come with 8 and you are downgrading to 7?

The computer was originally vista but i just bought the components that listed in the original post put them together, got 2 hard drives, loaded one with Win 7 64 bit and the other with Win 8 professional edition (to use as a development & capability test). All the driver installed for everything correctly and seemed to work for about 2 weeks then the locks ups happened
...and i just installed the "speccy" temp 45 C -->52 C average temp range (running win 7 gonna test Win 8 soon)...

Just to add, so you can't recreate this freezing in Windows 7?
With the games you have described.

If you have tested this in Windows 7 and didn't get it to freeze we would have to assume some sort of software/driver problem, if you haven't tested your games in Windows 7 it would be best to so as to all but rule out a hardware issue.

Just as an addition to the driver thought... Did you just install Vista and/or Windows 7 drivers in Windows 8 or did you specifically search and find Windows 8 drivers?

Well I installed windows 7 over windows vista then deleted the vista waste, updated win7 with win updates, then I installed windows 8 over that and installed all the drivers from the discs or recomended drivers windows found automatically for peripherals, motherboard,etc.....then installed the games and media players.....then I ran smite or LoL + vlc or win media player + chrome or Firefox .....then I got 3 locks up one that had a high pitched buzz/whine (hard reset to shut down), then a few days later same scenario lock up lower pitched sound (hard reset to shut down), then lock up again but windows restarted on it own.... I tried to run this same scenario in win 7 and it never locks up....I just installed. A new power supply (850watt) ran this same scenario 2x so far in win 8 & 7 no lock up so far......so maybe it was a power issue??...or perhaps some variables I do not remember we're causing it or perhaps system anomalies?...

    Thoughts?

I would go to the Asus site for your mother board and look for drivers specific to Windows 8 for the board. Since you are getting audio distortion associated with the crashes I'd especially look for audio drivers. From the description in your initial post I assume that the audio is on the mother board, not a separate card. Please correct if I am mistaken.

Well I have a new issue that I tried looking up and following suggestions but have not been successful.....so I rebuilt my old computer that I gutted and made into the newer one I posted.....it's an as us mother board w/ago radeon 512mb graphics card with the old 680 way power supply, win 7 professional on WD 139 gig hard drive, AMD dual core 3.10 ghz.......I cannot seem to get past the boot manager missing please press crtl alt delete (which does nothing)...,I am getting frustrated with this because I made sure all components were installed correctly and when I start up it correctly recognizes the keyboard + mouse + motherboard + optical drive + sees e hard drive.....I do not get why it is getting this error......PLEASE HELP ME...

Since this sounds like a home built system the first thing to do would be to boot to the Windows install DVD and then go to Repair. From there use the Startup repair. This can sometimes take two or three attempts to get everything right.
