hello im here because im having major computer problems. whenever i try to play mostly any game on my computer my computer will crash and show a pattern like the one in the pic. The patterns usually vary in color and usually show up on both screens. computer will usually crash either whenever the game starts or when i load up a saved game. Only one game on my steam game list will actually play
only games that actualy work are:
    League of Legends
    Starcraft 2
    Farcry 2
any ideas on what is wrong and how to fix?
also GPU is fully updated and nothing is overheating

Use driver sweeper to uninstall your graphics driver.

    Reboot.

Now use drivermax to get your the latest driver for your graphics card.

Make sure the inside of your tower is not full of dust open it up and look inside. If you have never cleaned the inside of your machine I suggest doing so with a can of compresed air making sure to turn power off prior. :)

Which Video Card do you have ?

Let us know the names of a couple of the games that cause the problem

    Start .......type in .......devmgmt.msc ...............ENTER
Click the + next to "Display Adapters"

    What is listed ?

Are there any yellow exclamation marks ?

A few games that cause the problem are Crysis, Orks must die, and penumbra oveture. I was able to play all of these games perfectly before the problem started.
    ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series
And there are no yellow exclamation marks

The pic you provided looks like a Video Card problem.

Do you have a different Video Card that you can try - even one that is a lesser spec ?

    Download Speccy from here:
    http://www.piriform.com/speccy

When you play a game that gives you no problems what temp is showing against the Video Card ?
( it needs to be playing the game under load - not idle )

I suspect that the card is at fault.

The only way to find out is to replace it ( borrow one ? ) or try your card in another machine and play one of the problem games.
