So since i've built my pc in september it's been bluescreening alot, more and more so over the last few weeks.

I always get bluescreens saying ERROR_MEMORY_MANAGEMENT and PFN_FILE_LIST_CORRUPT.

I've talked to some friends and they suggested me to run memtest as my ram might be broken.
I checked all my sticks (I run on 12 gb 6x2 2gb) and all sticks passed fine except for one set of two, when I put those 2 in the computer didn't even want too boot. The other 2 sets passed fine with no errors, but just now I had another bluescreen stating "PFN_FILE_LIST_CORRUPT". Can someone please help me?

    Hi Dopey, Welcome to CHF,

Unfortunately, you have to test the sticks - one at a time.

That error almost always has something to do with continuing memory issues but may also involve other drivers as well. You really first need to make certain that all the RAM installed is trouble free. I know you mentioned that you did that but I am just wondering if there may still be a faulty stick installed.

What is the error (hex) code that comes along with the error message?

Hello, thanks for helping me out! This is the dump log, not sure if it'll help but I think it has the information you guys need.
I did check every stick of ram, each of them passed memtest with no errors and I had all of them tested at the same time aswell, they passed just fine again. I could however not test each stick individually as the system wouldn't boot, so I had to do it in sets of two.

    Comments:
This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem. This might be a case of memory corruption. More often memory corruption happens because of software errors in buggy drivers, not because of faulty RAM modules.
The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver which cannot be identified at this time.

Ok that is beyond me. That appears to be a Windows NT issue and have no idea how it relates to Windows7. Keep in mind that I am not by any means the best person to answer you and there are others here far more expert than I.

Is there anyone else that might be able to help? Maybe on a different category of the forum?

There is no need to move this. There will be other replies I am just pointing out that I am not able to go further with this myself but that doesn't mean much. Had I seen that Allheart55 had already posted I would have left it alone. She is more than competent to help you.

You say your mem tests OK so next is a repair install. You wont lose data, the error is connected to a driver error so thats what I would do.

That is as far as I know a memory error. Start by removing all of your sticks and testing them one at a time. I know you can use memtest but I believe the physical hard test works better.

Thanks for the help Alan, but i've decided to drop my pc off at a pc store, hopefully the guy there will be able to fix it, normally i'd fix it myself but i've been trying for 6 months and I just got fed up, I really hope it's as simple as what you told me Alan.
