So I know the Comcast all in one modem is utter trash but it's what I have to work with. As a game I've noticed that I get a lot of port mapping from the IP my console is connected too. Now I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it but it has me concerned. After that it stops port mapping every hour like it normally does until I log back in. Does anyone know what this is? Comcast can't tell me and they say they don't see any suspicious activity. I haven't noticed any on my end to be fair either. Any help would be appreciated. Im not the most versed in these kind of things. Here's what it says.

Hello and welcome Rusty. igd is a gaming company. My guess is what you’re seeing has to do with how it connects to their server or users.

Hi Tony and thank you. I appreciate the answer. I should of also noted that I recently got into a whole debacle which in turn got me banned. Horrible for me but I learned a lesson that's for sure. That would explain a few things though. Better than other alternatives though.
