I have a problem with chrome, (I think). I can no longer click on my shortcuts for my sites that I have been using for years. Now what I get is the huge pop-up from chrome showing the shortcuts but saying they are not available now, but they clearly are because I use them all the time. (it says to open it anyway). I don't know how to get rid of that darn thing to just be able to get back my shortcuts. I have tried all the usual ways to make shortcuts, but it always ends up right back to that window, (or whatever it's called). Please forgive me if I don't use the proper titles for these things. I have never come across this before, and I am getting frustrated.

The computer is clean, everything has been checked to make sure no malware, etc.

    Please help if you can.

Hello and welcome Jaycea, Sounds like something changed. Maybe you've added an extension which is getting in the way.
Where are these shortcuts located? Are they on the desktop or what? I want to ensure you're talking about shortcuts and not bookmarks. There is a difference.
Are you able to open the sites anyway?

Yes I am able to open them and they are shortcuts. This only affects the shortcuts that I made, not the ones from installed programs, hoping you know what I mean. I did not change anything, could it be windows upgrades? They are on the desktop.

Thank you for being so fast!

PS I just noticed that I made a shortcut to this group, and it was NOT put into that chrome page at all.

My guess is that there's an extension getting in the way.
Go to the three vertical dots in the upper right of a Chrome window.
    Go to Settings.
    Go to Reset settings.

I have done this several times already, but I just did it again, that does not work. When I click on the short cuts, that page comes up huge, fills the whole page. I am so frustrated. Thank you so much for trying, but I just don't know what to do now. It says that that site is not supported but it is, also says that I can click on it anyway. I do that and I get in, or I can just go to a new tab and get in that way without that page coming up.
