Somehow a p2p toolbar got installed in my computer and i have no idea how and my firefox and ie8 browsers will not keep their settings. I have to keep resetting everything when I reopen them. Ican get into websites no problem, but the only site i can not get into with firefox is Troubleshooting Windows XP, Tweaks and Fixes for Windows XP. I have no problem getting in with IE8 When i try with firefox i get the following error message:

    Content Encoding Error
The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because it uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression.

    * Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

I am not sure what to set in firefox so i can get into this site. Also, I am not sure if that p2p toolbar brought in any spyware and that is messing around with my browser settings. Would appreciate some help with this

Hello there,I sugest you uninstall the toolbar via control panel/add and remove then visit the malware/security section for further help.

The toolbar is usaly installed when you download a P2P software, you should of unchecked the toolbar install box if you didnt want it on your machine.

Visit the malware section and run the software that is listed to help you.

Post results here on this thread when finished and I will ask one of the team to move your thread over to the malware section.

Or you can make a new thread in the malware section copy and paste your origonal post into the new thread.

Which ever is easier for you.

Please post them one at a time and allow time for them to upload. I thought that they may be caught in a moderation queue but that is not the case. I do know that google had some problems which caused the pages not to fully load but, again, I do not know whether that is related.
