All of a sudden I cannot search using DuckDuckGo search then drag/drop or copy/paste the URL to desktop or folder to go right to search results later. I guess the owners created this but are there any other search engines where I can save the URL and search results to go right back to them later without doing another search each time? I am using Google browser with DuckDuckGo search.

You don't drag and drop an URL to your desktop. You limit the amount of items on the desktop because the more items you have, the longer it takes to load!

You go to the URL and click the star at the far right to bookmark it.

Then later you click on the bookmarks to re-visit the site.

If you don't want to click on the star, hold down the ctrl key while clicking D. That will also bookmark the site.

Dragging a URL onto the Desktop is fine. I really don't think a few more desktop icons will have a noticeable effect on startup.

However, I do prefer using Bookmarks/Favorites over putting URLs on the desktop.

I agree with using the 'Bookmarks' option .... that is what it's there for.
You can even make folders to put similar links in to.
Plus, adding url's to the Desktop can look very messy.

Actually I know nothing about this but I do WANT to save shortcuts to searches. Maybe there exist better ways but I was dragging and dropping the search results URL into a folder. I guess I shall have to learn a new way other than opening each choice or dragging the one in the list to a folder.
