Hi i've had a terrible week where i got the dreaded BSOD for the first time but, i've lost my original password that i signed up to Microsoft with and they aren't very helpful getting it back. (I think it might be in the machine on the spare drive.
They allowed me to change it but it wouldn't work, so i went back but they've now locked me out as they say i've tried too many times and i don't know what else to do.
I've got the address i signed up with but nothing else as i changed it to a 4 digit PW. I've downloaded the creation tool and put it on a USB but that doesn't work either,
Should i just buy a new Tower?

Hello and welcome Zordana. Sorry to hear that you've had a terrible week. That 4 digit PIN is nice for logging onto your computer, but it doesn’t replace your password. You’ll still need the password for things other than logging into your computer. So you didn’t change to a 4 digit PIN; you just added it.

We can’t help you circumvent a password. If you had set up a recovery option when you set up your MS account, you can use that to reset your password. Maybe this will help https://support.microsoft.com/en-us...password-eff4f067-5042-c1a3-fe72-b04d60556c37

You should be able to use the Creation Tool to wipe the old drive and install a fresh copy of Windows.

They've allowed me to create another password but hey presto that won't work either, i don't get it. I copied it meticulously to be sure and it's correct so what is happening.
The creation tool i copied to a USB and plug it in but nothing happens, the boot disk same thing,

Maybe you didn't create the correct installation drive.
    Go here https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
Follow the instructions to create installation media to install Windows 10 on a different PC.
Once you have the USB drive created, boot your computer to the drive.
You'll be able to install Windows fresh. All your files, applications, settings, etc will be erased.
