Would like to get the opinion of experts on which browser is the best for those of us living in countries with very low Wi-Fi speed. Slow speed is a chronic problem here in the Philippines, so I want to use the most adaptable browsers in this situation. Thanks.

    Midori.
It's not as full featured as Firefox or Chrome but it's definitely fast.

Ironically, I was just reading up on this this morning. I'm going to try a 32 bit portable version on Windows 7.

Ran into a problem. When I tried to install Midori, Windows gave me the error: Windows protected your PC and stopped this download. The reason given was; "the code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP140.dll was not found." I went online and found out that the .dll is part of Microsoft C++ so I downloaded C++ and reinstalled it. I tried the download again with the same results. Just have to wonder if Microsoft is not changing the download in such a way as to make it not downloadable. Thanks.

In order to replicate the error I uninstalled Midori browser.
My bad, I had an older version installed from years ago.
My first hint should have been when I opened it and it did not try and update.
    Midori is no longer supported.

I checked out Brave browser and Opera GX.
Through the Windows Store I downloaded and installed both.
Both are questionable and at this point, I wouldn't recommend either one.

We will try a few more on for speed, resource use and reliability.

I was helping someone with the same problem this morning.
    You need Visual C++ 2015.

You can grab it here https://learn.microsoft.com/en-US/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170

That file, even though when you search might be in other places in your computer (my friend had it in various places) it has to be in
    C:\Windows\SysWOW64 and C:\Windows\System32

    msvcp_file.jpg

After copying the wrong password here several times, I'm finally able to log in with Midori browser. I use a different password at every site and I was mixing up this site with another.

One thing that Midori does that FF doesn't, it expands the items below everyone's avatar. I'll have to figure out how to close that because it blocks some of the posting screen to the right.

Midori is getting updated. I had to search but here is the info
    https://astian.org/midori-en/update-cycles-midori-browser/
    every 6 - 8 weeks.
Cindy, it switched from a chromium base to a gecko base. That's why you couldn't update it.

Since it doesn't work well on this site, I will probably remove it and stick with FF.
I use Brave on my chromebook.

    Thanks Liz.
In reading some reviews it seems there are some privacy issues and safe browsing concerns.
I'm going to check it out with your new download link.

I downloaded the Visual C++ 2015 and put it in both locations. I then tried to install Midori again, but had the same results. My system just does not like Midori for some reason.

Yes, I have to give up on Midori because it is causing me problems on this forum.

At least I've learned not to tell people to download Visual C++ 2015 in the hopes of solving an install issue. My internet friend gave up trying to install it because he didn't want to download another Visual C++.
