In Mozilla Firefox is Bookmarks the same thing as "Add To Favorites" in IE or other browsers? I have Google Chrome, FireFox, and IE 8 on this PC and am using Firefox as default. Wish to add a site to favorites but it says Bookmark.

Easier to go to the page and click on "Bookmarks" and then "Bookmark this Page" and remember you get a choice when that box opens up between Bookmarks and BookMarks Toolbar
by opening that line in the box that opens.

I like CTRL/D much better and it's faster. Usually on the bookmarks toolbar I make separate folders easily accessible for each category on the top just under the address bar, and then "drag" any page I want to that specific folder. That actually eliminates CTRL/D and is just drag and drop. Works on IE too but the process of setting up the folders on the top menu toolbar has a bit more to it than Firefox.

I always back them up weekly to my server and then replace them on all pcs. Seems like "Synch" from FF used to work nicely when it first came pout but then I went through a period where it messed up and seemed to change them all differently and I stopped using it.

I don't use Firefox anymore since about 2013, but when I did I put the bookmarks on a USB thumb drive.

I know you are an IE person now IceMan, I just find that browser stiff and unfriendly with poor password and logon saving. I like to change the skin to keep it interesting. Now I am not the average user as I look for easy simple solutions and insist on saved passwords and logons as I do not want to be bothered with complicated solutions to security. I have gotten very attached to Waterfox lately simply because it is an up to date supported Mozilla Browser that doesn't update every week and easily accepts all plugins and addons that work on Firefox... I loved Pale Moon for a while but I got tired of messages on 1/2 the websites stating that I need to update my Firefox browser(when I wasn't using one I thought). When Firefox had all the java issues I moved to Chrome and was happy there until they decide to eliminate java and that affected 25% of the websites I use.
