I have a Dell Inspiron 660 DeskTop System.

After I am in BIOS I go to Boot Tab.

I want to Set My CD ROM to be the First Boot Option before it goes to My Hard Drive.

I do not See or Understand how to do this.

I See Boot Option List but it has No Items.

What do I Select to Set My CD ROM as the First Boot Option?

After I am in My BIOS and move to the Boot Tab at the Top of the Screen.

The First thing Says Boot List Option UEFI.
This can not be Changed or Selected.

I move Down the Screen to File Browser Del Boot Option and Press Enter.

The Window that Opens Says File Browser Del Boot Option.

In this Window it just Says Window Boot Manager and it is Highlighted.

I was going to Press Enter but I Thought the BIOS Sets how to Boot not Windows so I did not do anything.

    Should I go into it?

I think you may have Secure Boot enabled. You need to disable that first. Look for Boot mode and see what the choices are. If legacy is in there, select that. Then you should be able to select the optical drive as the first boot device.

Otherwise if you want to boot from the optical drive, you should be able to press F12 at startup to enable the temporary boot device screen. Use that and select CD. Of course that only works that one time. If you want to boot from the CD again you need to use the F12.

Well I just Disabled Secure Boot.

Nothing Shows Up here but at the Bottom of the Screen I Still See Boot Options and they Say.

    1. Windows Boot Manager.
    2. OnBoard NIC IPV4.
    3. OnBoard NIC IPV6.

    What is Secure Boo anyway?
Should I go back and Enable it?

I would like to Ask something about Selecting an Option in BIOS?

When I Select Secure Boot Option a Blue Box Opens.

I See 2. Options 1. is Enable and 2. Disable.

The one that is in White is Enable and Disable is White inside a Black Box.

Am I Right the one that is just White with No Background is the one Selected?

    Yes.
To be honest, if you're not sure on changing Bios settings then you really should leave things alone.
The Bios is not something to mess about with.

The Video above Looks like My BIOS but after I go to My Boot Tab the Screen does not show like in the Video.

I have always went into My Systems BIOS to change things.

This is the only BIOS that does not have everything out in the Open.

Does anybody Mind if We can Chat over the Phone?
I can Read to You what I am Looking at.

    Thanks for all the Time.

    That isn't a good idea.
Boot into the BIOS and take a picture of what you see with your phone.
Post that picture in your next reply.

I suspect if the computer doesn't see a bootable USB stick or a bootable CD then you won't see those as boot options.

    page 97 of the manual

Note how USB is disabled by default. Have you enabled it?

I did Take a Photo of My BIOS Screen but it not come out good.

I will Tell You all the Options Under the Boot Tab and what You can Set them to.

Boot List Option can be Set to UEFI or Legacy.

File Browser Add Boot Option can be Set to Return Boot Menu or ACPI.

File Browser Del Boot Option can be Set to just Windows Boot Manager.

Secure Boot can be Set to Enable or Disable.

How should I have these Set?

Sorry to get back to You now.

I will Hit F12 at Startup and just use the Boot Options here.

But I want to See if I have everything under My Boot Tab Set Right before I go away from My BOIS?

I will Tell You what My System has and what My BIOS is Set to.

My System has 1. SATA3. Hard Drive and 1. SATA CD ROM Drive.

My System has some USB 2.0 Ports and some USBB 3.1 Ports.

My BIOS Boot Tab has all of this.

Boot List Option and it is Set to UEFI.

File Browser Add Boot Option and it is Set to ACPI.

File Browser Del Boot Option and it is Set to Windows Boot Manager.

Secure Boot and it is Set to Disabled.

Legacy Option ROMs and it is Set to Enabled.

Attempt Legacy Boot and it is Set to Disabled.

Enable USB Boot Support and it is Set to Enabled.

    Good idea.

As far as the settings go, just put them back to where they were before you started messing with them.

    Enable Secure Boot

When messing around with the BIOS, it's good practice to keep track of any changes you make. If things don't work out, you can backtrack to get back to where things were working.

Am I Right when You make a Clone of Your Hard Drive it just makes a Clone of the Settings on the Hard Drive not the BIOS Settings?
