    I have Win10 and a Graphics Card.
I have 8. GB of System Memory and an i5. CPU.

I was going to Replace my Internal CD / DVD ROM Drive with an Internal Blu Ray Drive.

But because my System has USB 3. Ports I was thinking of getting an External Blue Ray Drive that will Plug into my USB 3. Port.

Blue Ray Data Speed is 54 MBps and USB 3. Data Speed is 85 MBps so I should be ok.

Does anybody think I am not Understanding something Right?

What do you need the speed for?

Well if the Blue Ray Drive Data Rate is to Low then it will not Transfer the Data to the USB 3. Port that Fast.
So it will not Play good.

    Or how does this work?

I want to Play Blue Ray DVDs.
And they have more Data High Video Resolution High Audio Resolution and things like that.

So if Blue Ray DVDs Bandwidth is 54 Mbps you can use the USB 3. Port because that is Rated at 85 Mbps.

Do I not have this Right?

Interesting, what are the costs for an internal drive vs an external drive? If an internal isn't too expensive, I'd go that route. That also begs the question as to why you would want to play a Blu Ray video on a computer? Wouldn't you lose the whole Blu Ray excitement?
