blocking connections by time using router???

    hey guys me again looking for some advise.
    I am trying to block a few devices from the internet from a time of night until a time of day in the morning using my router.the router i'm using is a netgear ac1200. what is this method called and or is there a guide for this? i didn't see anything about it in the manual.

    Your message implies you leave your system on all the time?
    Unless you have a very good reason, leaving your system on when you are NOT actually using it, is a very bad idea :thmbdwn: It maximizes your exposure to hackers and viruses.

    Also shortens the life expectancy of your system.

    When not actually using your system, turn it off :geek:

    They are not talking about the system they are talking about blocking certain devices for certain times of the day.

    i use my system all the time because i have security cams connected to view and store video.
    i just want to block access to the kids computers,ipads and game systems from like 12:00 to like 6:00
    the links you guys gave was helpful to point me in the right direction. i forget to tell you guys my model number.my fault but i did find the pdf for mine so i'm in the process of reading it.

    Reporting back that the router i have doesn't block individual ip addresses. it can only block all or none but it's a great router all in all.

    Yep i looked. and read the PDF. it said nothing about it and i found nothing about for the one i have.
