    Hey Everyone.
This is my first thread so please bear with me. I have a Dell XPS 17 laptop that I just got and when I watch videos on Youtube I get a horizontal black stripe that goes across the screen. I can sometimes get rid of it with my scroll on my mouse. Everything works great on the computer except that..... I kinda figure it may have something to do with resolution.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    James Steele

Hello and Welcome James, My first thought was the screen panel. Then you said you can get rid of the line by moving you mouse. So that doesn't fit.

What makes you think it has something to do with the screen resolution? If it's not set to the recommended resolution, what is it set to?

Does the black horizontal stripe only appear on YouTube?
Please post a link to a video where you get the black horizontal line so we can determine if it might be the video. (I get a green area sometimes in daily motion).

Have you tried a different browser?

    My bold underline added below,
I mention that because if this laptop is new, and still under warranty, you do not want to do anything to void the warranty.

Where is this black bar? That is, does it appear in the middle of the image/video? Or at the top or bottom or both? For sure, if in the middle, that is a problem and my recommendation is to take it back to where you bought it (assuming it is under warranty).
