Biostar Tp67B+ Mobo Doesn't Recognize Ram

    Hey, I finished building a new computer using the Biostar TP67B+ mobo and 1 4gb stick of Corsair XMS ddr3 @ 1333 MHz. When I try booting my system up, the system speaker makes repeating short beeps until I power down. The manual for the mobo says that it is a memory problem, but I can't find any reason for the memory to be rejected by the mobo.

    Any ideas on how to resolve this?

    Hi Biostar.Welcome to CHF.

    Have you tried the Ram Stick in another Slot?

    Remove the Memory altogether and see if the beeps change or you get a message on the Screen.

    Hello CustonNewb and Welcome to Computer Help Forums,

    Definitely, try the RAM in a different slot. If the memory is currently installed
    in an orange DIMM slot, try installing it into the white slot.

    Although you should be able to use just 1 module - I note that most of the above are x2.

    Just as an aside:
    If you are buying RAM it is always better to buy 2 x 4GB rather than 1 8GB.
    If the 8GB module develops a problem your machine is dead in the water. At least with 2 modules you have a little more flexability.
