Anyone using this anti-virus for monitoring email attachments? Is this meant to be used in addition to an anti-malware program? I use FireFox and Emsisoft.

What you have just stated is correct they work in conjunction.

@starbuck can explain this in more detail.

So, should I add the AVG? Any worries about incompatibility between this app and the Emsisoft?

    I certainly wouldn't add AVG.
Emsisoft already contains 2 AV/AM scanning engines.
Adding a third will almost certainly cause conflicts.
On the subject of email attachments......

Also.... be aware that only non encrypted attachments can be scanned, but Emsisoft will stop any malware from executing if an encrypted attachment is opened.

Thanks for that explanation. I've been pleased to have Emsisoft- during a recently-resolved backup idssue, their techs were very helpful.
