Hello I hope I can get some help with my pc I just built. It won’t post. Everything is lighting up, all fans are spinning and even the pump is on.
I have a Asrock board with dr debug and it is showing a A2 which is a “problem related to IDE or SATA devices”. I have tried removing all SATA ports and restarting. Clearing cmos. Reinstalling cpu, pulling out m.2 ssd, plugging in a usb with windows, plugging in a gpu, moving ram to each slot, and nothing. I need the help so it’s much appreciated.

Motherboard: Asrock z390 phantom gaming 9
    CPU: i7-8900

    Hello and Welcome Ryan,

Nice to see a builder. First thing to do (and you've probably done this) is to disconnect everything that's not needed for POST. Keyboard, Mouse, all drives and USB attachments. If the board has on-board video, remove any video card you may have installed. Then try using RAM you know is good, even if it's just a small amount of RAM. We just need to get it to POST.

Try tapping the F2 key alternately with the delete key as soon as the system boots up. However before you even do that tap your spacebar a few times 1st. I use as Asrock board currently and have done about 13 builds with them in the past year both AMD and Intel. Once in the bios (if you can get there) load optimized defaults and make sure CSM is enabled if you're not using an nvme SSD and full-on uefi, set XMP on your memory too, save (F10) and exit the bios.
