I have 2 computers, (1 desktop, and 1 laptop), both running VISTA HOME
    PREMIUM SP2.
Every time I try to rum the SECUNIA PSI scan on the desktop, a
messagebox pops up saying: "An active x control on this page may be
harmful. Do you want to run active x anyway"
I say yes, and all I get is a blank window, with the endless spinning
barber pole. It never connects to the SECUNIA server.

(The laptop does not have this problem)

I searched all the forums, and as of yet, cannot find the answer.

Thanks for any help that can be provided.

Try digging out the instructions at MS support to "reset internet
explorer". Run through it in full, reboot, see if it helps.
