A Note Regarding The Advice You Will Receive

Our goal is to help each other and for every member to participate.
You will notice that each of our staff members are designated as such on every post.
That does not mean that theirs is the only advice that should be followed.
Every member posts as an individual.

That being said, it is not easy to become a staff member.
Our staff is chosen based on a number of criteria with demonstrated expertise being one of the main ones.

This does not mean that a new member does not have the right answer nor does it mean that the staff is always right.
We do have a sort of working understanding as a staff which is much like the Hippocratic Oath - "First do no Harm."
If a staff member suggests a solution you can assume that he/she has considered any downsides of a suggestion made.
If there is a downside it will probably be noted or be referred to as a last resort, etc.
We hope that everyone who replies to an issue will take the same thoughts into consideration because we truly welcome your advice.

One last note, when it comes to malware removal it is a total exception to everything I said above.
Once a malware removal thread is started it is "hand's off" by everyone except those properly trained and designated by the forum as our resident experts.
