A Good Reason to Buy Windows 7

Discussion in 'Windows Vista' started by Alias, Aug 9, 2009.

Being as Windows is the Toy Operating System, Windows 7 will come with
DirectX 11. Games will be really realistic and AMD and nVidia are
already working on cards that will handle DirectX 11.

    Ubuntu for real work.
    Windows 7 for gaming.

It faster more secure and more stable ... for me that is good enough
    reason.
For the gaming I think there will be a while before we can se really
photorealism in games, maybe a few years..

Like most that call others morons, you can't write the English language.
"Vista if your a total retarded Moron!" should have been Vista if you're a
    total retarded Moron!"

I suggest that you elevate yourself a bit by reading:

No, Win Seven only if you have money and time to waste. Seven is just a
    Vista copy in disguise.

You have it all wrong. Windows 7 is for real work and gaming. Ubuntu
is for wasting time and playing around with a computer that doesn't do
    any productive work.

    Just FYI.

So you are now speaking for others? You enjoy lying each time you post?
I don't remember you contacting me about my opinion? Did you contact
    the others here?

So when you say "WE", you are really lying, aren't you?

Just like with the other mis-information you post about that INFERIOR
Ubuntu. You know, the FREE product that has been FREE for years yet is
still on LESS THAN one percent of the desktops out there?

That sure says alot about that product. Must really suck if most
everyone dismisses Ubuntu even though it's free.

HA HA HA - Gotta love it.

Remember, Ubuntu was written by geeks for geeks who can't get laid.

While Win 7 looks and feels much like Vista, it isn't. In my testing
it is leaner, meaner, runs faster, is very stable, and has most if not
all what Vista had problems with fixed. The thing going around that Win
7 is what Vista should have been, isn't far fetched. If Vista, or XP for
that matter until it finally expires, works for a person then no, don't
bother spending time and money. If you are ready to UPGRADE, then by all
means go for it. I have Vista Ultimate, and while I have had few
problems with it, I am liking Win 7 much better.

I am mostly disappointed that Microsoft didn't adopt more Compiz/OSX
LIKE effects, but what they did do is OK. I'll never understand why they
won't even write in hot corners for things like Flip 3D, but the third
party add-on I use works fine. I also would have preferred a GUI
overhaul so it DOESN'T look and feel like Vista, but I guess that would
have been too much to ask for. Whatever I guess, it still operates MUCH
better than Vista, so I'm happy for that anyway.

Gotta disagree with you here. Most people have NOT heard of Linux. I
talk to people regularly that don't know what the heck I'm talking about
if I mention Linux. Others have heard of it, but have NO idea that it is
even a regular operating system or that it is, but think it is only for
industrial applications etc. Granted, many more people know of it today
than anyone ever did in the past. ..But NOT "most." ..So the "rejection"
factor has little significance, for now anyway. When ALL the masses know
of, understand what it is, and then reject Linux, you will have a valid
    point.

Totally agree here about Win 7. I installed the Beta, and now The RC. It
IS all that you stated. I'm looking forward to receiving my prepaid copy
Oct 22. Sadly my EXPENSIVE Vista Ultimate disk will become a glorified
coaster. Win 7 IS that much better. ..Don't get me wrong however, this
was posted from Linux. Yep, Linux has its useful points too. Nothing
wrong with using the best of BOTH worlds. Choosing sides is so juvenile,
    and narrow minded.

    Alias,

Thank you for evaluating Windows 7 and it's great to hear that you are enjoying your experience so much! If you are planning on purchasing Windows 7 when it is released it may be helpful to know you don't have to wait until October to reserve your copy of Win 7! You can pre-order your copy of Windows 7 Home Premium or Windows 7 Professional today. For more information, see the Windows 7 Pre-Order offer page here:
