Question 1) Is there some way to change the image that's displayed when
Vista (Home Premium) starts? Could MS have used an uglier image? I don't
    think so.

Question 2) Is there a registry (or some other setting) that controls the
    color of IE8 tabs?

    Thanks!

  3. Can you try Start-->Run
    enter "msconfig"

When this utility startup, goto BOOT tab
Check box tha tsays "No GUI boot"

Click OK/close, it will ask to restart but you don't have to - keep working
    on whatever you were working.
On the nexy boot graphic boot should be gone and speed up by a second or
    so....

  4. why in the world my article was deleted when it is a standard way to disable
    Bootup GUI image??
What ar ethey afraid of me knowing too much?

I for that matter can alter NTloader with bare hands, by entering scrips w/o
any MSconfig utility, I just told this guy an easy way just to get rid of
    graphics.
There're many other switches one can add to NTloader.

What are they afraid of me giving a helpful advise?
I've had Boot GUI off for 8 years sicne XP came out.
