Album: New Camera. ( Boasting A Bit Here)

I recently bought a replacement camera due to basically destryoing the viewing screen on the what had been a trusted Samsung. Once the glass is smashed on these pocket cameras, which no longer have a viewfinder, you are scuppered as to how do you know what you are taking a picture of? It could have been repaired but a lot expensive, so bought a Panasonic DMC-TZ18. It has 16X optical zoom which isn't bad for a pocket camera along with 14M Pixels it produces some nice images, shame I am no real photographer, however from recent days out here is a few examples. Canal pleasure cruiser "Sam" at Skipton. Fifteen inch gauge engine Northern Rock at the Ravenglass and Eskdale railway. The only steam engine that I saw on the Wensleydale line near Northallerton. The real beauty though is its ability to produce full HD Video. This clip is some of the Ravenglass and Eskdale railway, with River Irt coming into the staion with the train I then rode on. Then some of the ride up the Ravenglass line, and turning the locomotive Northern Rock at the top end of the line. Go on, go full screen, it is just like a TV picture. I reckon I got a good pocket camera and is possibly the best I have ever owned so far. Nev.
