There is a part where you set up your DNS server so it said to make the IP static, so I enter
IP: 192.168.0.2
submask: 255.255.255.0 (auto one)
Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1 (I check my router for this)

And no internet access. Idk what to do coz the default gateway is what it say on the router, even...

Windows Home Server comes in 2 variants the older WHS V1 which was based on server 2003

ok the setup is as so..

im running server 2003, iis 6.0 and frontpage 2003.

im working with iis at the moment and decided to crate a basic website to play with.
so i create a website with 2 pages, a welcome page and a form to fill out.
all done with frontpage 2003 and saved to the default directory with is in my documents.

i go into iis and right click websites and create a new one...
i go through the steps and finish, but when i right click on the new website and click browse...

ok for my first post ill be askin for some help with Rras on a server 2003 virtual pc (2007)

so this rras server has 3 network cards..

one is on the 10.0.0.0 network
ip - 10.0.0.3
subnet - 255.255.255.0
DG - blank
dns - 10.0.0.1

the other is on the 10.0.1.0 network
ip - 10.0.1.3
subnet - 255.255.255.0
DG - blank
dns - 10.0.0.1

the third is mapped to a loopback adapter on my host os (win7) for connectivity to the internet which works fine (tried and tested)

I recently got a computer from my friend, which he got from the school he works at. I was already planning on wiping it, however it turns out that the admin account was the one used and it requires a password to login, which neither of us know. I runs Windows 2000 and I am planning on putting XP on it. Some times I check login users on terminal server by "query user" command.

But I want that a message displayed automatically now.

I writing cmd for myself: query user Demo && net send Alek "Demo Online"

My cmd doesn't work.



Is there any idea send message after user login?

we have several windows 2008 servers x64 at different locations.
All have the actual patchlevel with sp2. Mostly there is one DC with
additional terminalservers.
In general we have printing problems on all machines with different
printers.
The real problem is, that the printers on the terminalservers often go
offline and the jobs in the queue will hang up.
Then we must restart the spooler first on the printserver (DC) and then
restart the spooler on the terminalserver.

I've got an intermittent printing problem on my Windows 2003 server.
Users running Windows XP Pro send prints to the print queue, but if the
printer is out of paper, the prints sometimes just disappear. No errors
appear in the event log.

Has anyone ever experienced this, and if so, have you found a
solution?

The Recent list in Word always remembered the user's docs. Now a user
pointed out to me she could not 'see' her docs in that list. I checked with
other users and same problem.
