Windows 8.1 is now displaying full-screen alerts when logging into the operating system, warning that the OS is reaching the end of support in January 2023 and will no longer receive security updates.

The notification was introduced yesterday as part of the Windows 8.1 KB5015874 cumulative update, which includes a new EOSnotify.exe program to display a warning that the operating system will soon be unsupported.

Since yesterday the screen of my Asus went blinking and moving weirdly, random parts of the screen move or blink, the display does bad and in all the ways. It's still more or less usable but it's difficult. Usable in a sens where I can use Windows menus and start/reboot the computer. But that's all, apps like chrome or firefox are unusable.

My computer stopped responding and restarted itself but didn't load my second harddisk.
I switched it off, replugged the cables to the harddisk and turned it on. There was a welcome from my Gigabyte motherboard but then black screen. No Windows logo nor loading circle.

When he tries to get on the internet using WI-FI he gets the message "DNS not responding"...he can get on the internet using a wire connection.
