      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Unfortunately four fairly important folders found their way into my recycle bin. Then, not being aware of this, when routinely emptied the bin they were lost.<br />
I was told that Recuva could help but there was no option to just ask it to find specific folders so after many hours of scanning and supposed recovery I ended up with thousands of files that were useless anyway.<br />
So my question is can anyone here recommend an alternative to Recuva, I don&#039;t mind having to pay for something that can...<br />

Everything seems to be working except when I Pin Icons to the the Taskbar they do not appear! I googled this problem and one solution was to Delete the Icon Cache! I did the %localappdata% procedure but when I click on show to uncover hidden files the Icon folder is not there! So I&#039;m wondering if this could be the issue?]]></content:encoded>

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I am having a problem with this device as it no longer allows me to transfer video files to it. It does allow me to play the videos already on it, and it does show up in &quot;This PC&quot;, so it isn&#039;t completely corrupted. Likewise, I don&#039;t think it is my computer, as the same movies transfer easily to another mass storage device that I have.<br />
Is there some sort of test I can do on Windows to see if this device is working properly, or to see if it has bad sectors? If there are bad sectors, can they...<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I have a 2 TB Seagate external USB hard drive that does not show up in my list of drives. It does show up in disk mgmt under the letter G but as a CD drive when it is not a CD drive. In disk mgmt I have tried to initialize the drive under MBR and GPT but only GPT will work. I formatted it to NTFS and simple storage and put the letter G on it but still it will not show up. I also tried to partition it with gparted  but was not allowed to. Any idea as to how I can get this to show and accept...<br />

I let Win11 Pro Format the Drive then I open it and put my Files on it.<br />

I do not see a Burn to Disc option.<br />

Sometimes if I go to the 3. Dots on the Top Right it will have Burn To Disc but nothing happens.<br />

If Win11 Pro. does open a window telling me to give the Disc a name and what type of...<br />

I would like to have more gigs, but that is going to involve moving some files around. My USB hard drive is large and can accommodate a lot of files.       <content:encoded><![CDATA[I have a WD SATA USB 1 TB hard drive I would like to format and use as storage. When I try to format the drive, Windows cannot format it and goes unresponsive. Also, I got the error that this drive has no file system on it. I cannot use it unless it is formatted, but Windows cannot do it. I had thought of using G parted, but that requires burning it to a CD and my desk top has no CD-ROM drive. Is there another way I can get it formatted and usable?]]></content:encoded>

I get the above error whenever I try to play my videos. I reached online, and it appears that code is for either unsupported by Media Player or corrupted files. Likewise, I use Media Player Legacy, so I also tried to play with VLC media player with no luck. I went into VLC and changed the name of one test file to AVI, and it still would not work. Since all my videos played before I tried to move them to another drive, I have a suspicion that something happened during the move...<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Windows 11 does not recognize my external hard drive in the list to pull up. So I went into disk management and sure enough it was there and healthy, labeled as Disk 4. At this point, I know the computer knows it is there. I figured giving it a letter label such as H would make Windows recognize it as with the others C E and F. But when I right-click on the disk the option to label it is greyed out and the only option available is to delete. Please see the attached file showing the disk...<br />
