Motherboard : Intel DP55WB
CPU : Intel i5 760 @ 2.80Ghz
RAM : 2 X 2Gb DDR3
Graphics : ATI Radeon HD 5770 1Gb

All this in a very basic box with a few fans. nothing cooled with water or anything cool (see what I did there?).

I was looking inside Catalyst Control Center and saw an overclocking section.

I know it can be dangerous or unstable to overclock graphics cards so i'm just asking you any tip or recommended settings.

I was wondering, this is my first time ever overclocking. and i wanna know (step by step ) how to overclock a Intel Quad Q9400 2.66

I understand i shouldnt over clock it too much. i was thinking about 3.00ghz, is this a good idea..

But No Prob got the refund and had a Poineer DVR 218l on order, along with a Samsung for the wife's new build, neather would work in my machine when they arrived though, and after giving up put the wife's machine together to find they both worked perfectly

for those of us who have boards with only a 4bit fid as opposed to a 5bit that link will help you to run your cpu at multi's 13x and up. in case you didn't know, a 4bit fid only allows you to chose from half of the multipliers. the half you get is based on the default multiplier of your cpu.

this mod is only needed if you can't oc your fsb any higher and still have headroom on your cpu. i'm sure there's a wire trick to get...

I've got my Radeon 9500 overclocked a little, but have only dabbled with it. Im sure I have not pushed it to its edge.

I have a few questions. Which gives more performance: Core clock or Memory clock?

Should I push the core as high as I can before artifacts, then start inching up the Memory? Other way around? Inch both up at the same time?
