Motherboard : Intel DP55WB<br />
CPU : Intel i5 760 @ 2.80Ghz<br />
RAM : 2 X 2Gb DDR3<br />
Graphics : ATI Radeon HD 5770 1Gb<br />

All this in a very basic box with a few fans. nothing cooled with water or anything cool (see what I did there?).<br />

I was looking inside Catalyst Control Center and saw an overclocking section.<br />

I am being told that I can solder 2 wires on the older version and this will increase the speed from 166 to 266Mhz.   <br />

for those of us who have boards with only a 4bit fid as opposed to a 5bit that link will help you to run your cpu at multi&#039;s 13x and up. in case you didn&#039;t know, a 4bit fid only allows you to chose from half of the multipliers. the half you get is based on the default multiplier of your cpu. <br />

this mod is only needed if you can&#039;t oc your fsb any higher and still have headroom on your cpu. i&#039;m sure there&#039;s a wire trick to get...<br />

I&#039;ve got my Radeon 9500 overclocked a little, but have only dabbled with it.  Im sure I have not pushed it to its edge.<br />
<br />
I have a few questions.  Which gives more performance: Core clock or Memory clock?<br />
<br />
Should I push the core as high as I can before artifacts, then start inching up the Memory?  Other way around?  Inch both up at the same time?<br />
