I&#039;m looking for a free maleware remover to download from a trusted site, I had Malewarebytes before on the old computer but never downloaded it to my new one.       <content:encoded><![CDATA[Can&#039;t get rid of pop-ups.  They come up in the bottom right corner of the desktop when the machine starts and then come up at random times afterwards. They say the machine is infected. They&#039;ll display a Norton logo and another popup will display a McAfee logo.  Higedgene.com is mentioned in the popups. I clicked the Scan button on one of the popups. It took me to overiessiscle.com<br />
They come up in Wayne&#039;s account, but not Marie&#039;s account.  I can&#039;t find where they&#039;re coming from.<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[This thing is really really slow.  Edge and Chrome take forever to open. Notepad is fine. Explorer itself can be a pain. It takes a while for things like the Start menu to open  Right click on a folder to get the context menu takes way too long, like about 20 seconds.<br />

I remove AVG and Viper yesterday, but they are still showing in the FRST log.<br />
I see System Interrupt taking 100% CPU at times.<br />
MBAM took out TrojanBrowserAssistant.<br />

It&#039;s just not right and I&#039;m not sure if it&#039;s hardware or...<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Hi, I&#039;m looking for some expert help to clean this machine up.<br />
It had 360 Total Security which I uninstalled, but there are signs of it in the FRST scans. <br />
It also had McAfee security which I deleted. Still signs in the logs. After the FRST scan I did remove the extension from Chrome.<br />
The FRST logs show Firefox items, but FF is not on this machine.<br />
Other ATTENTION items need to be addressed.<br />

Note: Yesterday, it got updated (without my intervention) to W10 ver 2004. That took about 2 hours. I hadn&#039;t recorded which version of W10 was on it before the update.<br />

And just recently I attempted to remove I guess (I’m no expert) so I restarted my computer and to my surprise when I try to log in my computer the password I use is incorrect.       <content:encoded><![CDATA[Hi. This machine is just acting a bit strange. I can&#039;t put my finger on it.  It could be because it was once a W8 and then was upgraded to W10.  Initially the problem was that if you left it alone doing nothing other than displaying the desktop for a while, it would lock up. I could toggle the num and cap lock light, but that was it. Black screen, no mouse, no nothing. Had to force power down by holding the power button.<br />

Disabling Norton fixed the hang problem, but it&#039;s still not right....<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[My buddy was having problems accessing his ISP-provided email with Chrome. Other connections were good. I ended up deleting and reinstalling Chrome. I also installed Firefox as a backup brower. I received a call a few days later that Chrome wasn&#039;t wasn&#039;t working and Firefox was no longer on the computer. I confirmed this today.<br />

When I brought up Chrome, Chrome didn&#039;t display a window. Task Manager showed that it was not running in the Applications tab. The Processes tab however showed two...<br />
