I put it on a USB 500 GB Hard Drive.

The LP failed to load, and eventually I tried to do a System Restore. It was asking for an account password and I had no idea what it was, or even what “account” it was referring to.
Eventually I gave up and decided to bite the bullet and went fir a full reset.

However, this now comes up, and when I do as it says, it returns after a moment or so.

In simple, with my windows 8.1 computer was fine but wasn't getting internet even though other PCs on router were. I tried some basic network disable then enable etc but nothing worked so I did a REFRESH YOUR PC WITHOUT AFFECTING YOUR FILES (yea, right). It kept freezing at %3 SETTING UP A FEW MORE THINGS. I think the easiest way to describe my question is to create an example.

I have 5,000 files that I backed up to a cloud storage, in May. It took 1 hour to backup.

It is August now. I have 1,000 new files to back up.

I don't want to wait 1.25 hours to back them up. I just want the cloud storage service to select only the new files to backup, and take maybe only 15 minutes to do it.

What kind of cloud storage service would I need?

I recently reset Windows using the option to keep my files after resetting. However, after resetting I can't find my old files anywhere and I suspect they've been deleted since my hard drive is mostly free (402 GB free of 464 GB and my files previously took up a lot more space). There are many google results that come up when I search for the best way to backup a windows 7 laptop. All with different ideas and opinions. But I don't know who to believe in. So I figured getting advice in this computer forum would be a good start.

Should I backup to a cloud or a local flash drive? If a cloud is the way to go, how do I choose a good cloud backup provider?
