Sometimes i don't watch the news on tv or read my local newspaper in the U.S. Any website suggestions on getting the latest news via the internet? I don't want the New York Times website, sensory overload!

Dam depressing I agree. When you read the news our World is really in a mess.
    We live in troubled times.
Humans are their own worst enemy and they are destroying our Planet.
Sorry a bit off Topic but I needed to say it.:)

I agree the news can be depressing at times, the current troubles due to IS, plus the worlds politics seemingly going pear shaped and seemingly straight out of the asylum is enough. However if the human race did destroy itself, the means by which it did it would likely poison the world enough that no other life form could exist.
Imagine the result if IS got their hands on nuclear weapons?

Albert Einstein won't be too far wrong is my guess. Only needs some deadly airborne bacteria to escape from these Labs, more old Nuclear Reactors to overheat and spread radio active material in the winds and the human race will be in trouble.Look at the recent epidemics in Africa. Only need a real bad one and it will spread from country to country. I think humans will be responsible for their own demise if we are not very careful. Also as Nev said Nuclear weapons in the wrong hands is another real worry.
I often wonder what the state of the World will be in even 50 years from now.
