    Open Internet Explorer
Click on"Internet Options" from the "Tools" menu
Under "Browsing History" click on "Settings"
From the next box which appears, click on "View Files"
All your Cookies should appear on the next page that opens.

Firefox 48.01. Actually folder is there but grayed out with only index.dat file inside. I did set to never remember history and cleared all current history. Could that be the reason? I reset to remember history but folder still grayed out. Firefox is set to remember Logins normally. Occasionally I clear history and set to never remember to keep it clean.Otherwise it is set to remember.
Maybe grayed out because I have it set to show all files and not to hide system files. Maybe empty because all cookies have been cleared. will watch it awhile. now set to remember history.

You are never going to have saved cookies if you set it "Never to remember"

thats what I thought so I set it back to remember. Used to see cookies in cookies folder. Still empty folder but trying to log in and go to websites in hopes of initiating cookies. Funny.... I never before TRIED to generate them.

Do you mean greyed out like this? Yours fonts may not be blue.

They are lighter in color because they are hidden directories. You can see them if you have Show Hidden Files and Folders marked.

For cookies for FF they are not stored there.

    Mozilla states:
Cookies: A cookie is a bit of information stored on your computer by a website you’ve visited. Usually this is something like your site preferences or login status. Cookies are all stored in the cookies.sqlite file.

You can see the cookies on you system by going to Options and select Privacy
Click Remove individual cookies to see a list and where you can also delete one by one or all at once.

I have been looking at Firefox 48.0.2 options. Looked at custom history settings. It shows cookies ARE stored but not WHERE stored that I locate. At least they are not in the Doc&Set>Owner>Cookies folder where I used to see them. I have it set to show all folders, hidden and System. I searched for cookies.sqlite. I did find the cookies.sqlite folder with a folder inside but it said windows could not open it and search on web said not able to open it in my language. But I guess I can remove them as you said. Just cant see them like I did in IE8.
I am trying IE8 for awhile. Think i changed to Firefox for a mor up to date browser.
